Xerox DocuColor 3535 and Splash/Spire: any experience?

We consider to buy a Xerox DocuColor 3535 with Creo Spire RIP.

Has anyone experience of this configuration?

The primary scope of application for us are layout- and short run prints (mostly less than 500 copies) in high (proof-like) quality. We are still unsing a Xerox DC12 with Splash G630 and are not realy happy with this configuration.

Most disaffecting for us was the effort (about 6 months!) to bring this configuration to some extent of reproducible, proof-like quality (it is still not realy reliably).

Is there room for hope that this would be less frustrating and lengthy with DC3535 and Spire?

Thanks in advance!

Klaus Karcher
