I have always recommended using the .icc extension on both platforms. It
*is* recognised as a profile on both platforms (Mac & PC). .icm is not
recognized on the Mac if the profile has no 4 char file type. This is
possible on Mac OS X. The only problem I have found using .icc on a PC is
although it appears as a profile, you can not double click on it or
"install" like you can with a .icm file in Windows 2000 (which many clients
of ours use). I have not checked lately on XP if this is still the case. I
wish Microsoft would fix that, because I like the install feature in
Windows. Wish we had it on the Mac. Another one for the ColorSync Utility
maybe?
