OK, here's a 3-D comparison of a Nikon LS-4000 scanner profile made to a

Have you tried comparing the actual HCT-Velvia reference data to AdobeRGB (or whatever) vs. what the scanner profile PREDICTS the gamut to be? I'm just wondering how many "real" colors there are in the Velvia target that push the gamut as far as the profile thinks. Just curious.

How are you accurately editing images in ProPhotoRGB or DonRGB given that many colors will be beyond what the monitor is able to display? Are you using the display "de-sataruation" feature in Photoshop for this? And are you capturing/editing/converting in 16bits?

Terry
