OK. But can it be improve upon at all by editing or tweaking the calibration
curves? I understand because of the biased measurements that the *initial*
gray balance is off -- relative to an Artisan or another well-balanced CRT
-- but is it completely hopeless? Completely insensitive to any profile
editing? I know I am pushing but I just haven't start fighting with these
beasts yet (still spoiled, I guess, by my Mitsu CRT). I guess it's hard for
me to imagine how off can an LCD be not having spent prolonged periods of
times working on one. I have a small 14" LCD on my IBM laptop but I have to
admit I have not invested much time trying to profile and calibrate it
beyond anything reasonable.
