2.2. I get surprising results when comparing proof color to display.
It is worth experimenting calibrating to 6000K to see that the match will be
so that I can demonstrate to clients the results when comparing proof color
to display. Good idea.

For the cost, I have yet to find a better light source.
Solux? Although, they're hard to get north of the border these days.

Yup, the price is certainly the holding factor. But come to think if it I
never saw it demonstrated at Seybold or any other shows I attended where GMB
had a booth. Incidently, I was given the URL for a company in Florida that
makes the bulbs for GMB where it's possible to order just the bulb alone and
thus build one oneself from scratch? Maybe an economical solution. Which is
probably the route I would take just to get my feet wet in this because, if
I go by my Solux experience, the beam color temperature is not uniform from
the center out onward? So, I would how that the Sol-Source has a solution
for this because I'd hate to pay $400 to find out that at the center of the
beam the light is 5000K but as I am gradually moving away from the center it
decreases in color temperature :(
