Perhaps I should have my eyes checked again but I have to report that I do
see the stripes, albeit very faint, on all the light sources I have at my
disposal in my studio, 1 - GTI 5000K, 2 - GMB 5000K JustNormalicht CCD 5000K
and 3 - Solux @5000K! But the stripes are not, in my vision, more visible
under the CCD lamps I have than under the GTI lamps or the GMB lamps or the
Solux lamp. They're even visible (ever so slightly too) under the Ott-lite I
have. It could be the RHEM indicator has gotten too old? I never knew how
long these lasts.

Would the stripes be visible when photographed? That way I could send you
pictures of *my* RHEM under the 4 light sources I use?

In my experience Just and Gatf/Rhem strips aren't compatible...
Don't know what to say? One thing I can say is that I maybe biased to look
for the stripes when I look at a RHEM? I just observed my RHEM under direct
sunlight and I have to say that the stripes are truly barely visible under
this condition but if I force myslef ver hard I can just faintly see the
stripes -- darn! It's gotta be a DeltaE of less than 1 for sure.
Does it matter, in your opinion, which part of the RHEM that is visible?
Under the GMB tubes I use which give me around 5500K, it's the two stripes
in the center that are slightly darker. Whereas with the CCD it's the three
stripes that are slightly darker. Under the GTI booth, it's the two stripes
that seem slightly lighther. Under the Ott-lit, it's clearly the three
stripes that are darker and the two stripeslook more pinkish. Under the
5000K Solux, it's the two stripes that ever so lightly stick out paler.
Under direct sunlight, it's the two stripes that are ever so slightly darker
but I have to let my adapt a few seconds and twist the RHEM to be able to
discriminate the stripes because they are really, barely invisible. As a
matter of fact, it is the one source of light where the pattern is least
visible, in my opinion.
Thank's for bringing up the RHEM idea into the picture! I'll start carry it
around with me at printers I visit.
