CM and OSX- again
CM and OSX- again

I just spent several hours re-reviewing John Zimmerer's December posts
about Colorsync, primarily in Panther. Also most of the subsequent
conversation. I also read Bruce Fraser's post that, essentially, doing
the same things in OSX for printing targets and subsequent use of
profiles when printing out of PS, and using no color adjustment in the
right driver, gave the same expected results as OS9.
Utilizing the Colorsync utility for any of this is not only confusing
but more work than it needs to be. Many of us, for example, use the same
media setting for several different 3rd party paper custom profiles,
making that option in the utility a non-issue.
Having recent difficulty with profiling, I was wondering if others here
would verify that over the last few months of use Bruce is correct, and
printing out of PS with proper settings for conversion and no color
adjustment in the EPSON driver will allow me to ignore the CS utility,
and possible inappropriate multiple conversions behind the scenes are
avoided.
Thanks,
Tyler
