our office is running a HP 1700ps. it is now working well but at the
beginning we had a lot of trouble to connect it via ethernet to the
whole network and to find a rip to run it under osx. (HP does not offer
one which works in a network and under osx!) the second issue was more
harmfull than the first one but we found the hpijs foomatic print
drivers/rip together with ghostscript

working solution. regarding CM we use the custom HP900/Deskjet printer
profile, which is good enough for our tasks.
