Terry,
You are right, it is CMYK (6color) large format printer and RIP does support
calibration, but the problem that ink formulation causes this "rainbow"
effect and it is very difficult to get it linearized. Practically it is
impossible to get it linearized perfectly before profiling.
I've linearized the printer as well as it is possible before profiling and
set the RIP to have "Adobe RGB(1998)" and "Euroscale Coated V2" as input
profiles and my profile as destination profile. I've used the
"Pixl_testimage2002_RGB" as test image. I've tried both printing the test
image as RGB and separated for Euroscale coated in PhotoShop. Still there is
some "rainbow" effect in grey balance and that's my headache. I'd like to
get perfect neutral after profiling.

Jouni, since you're using the ECI2002 target you must be profiling a CMYK

RIP. What RIP are you using and why doesn't it have a function for

Are you looking at the gray balance before or after profiling? If after,

what are you using as a source profile and are you using a test image that
