I have my Display Profile set to "Generic RGB Profile", just in case
that makes any difference.

I open the original image up in preview and it looks washed out. So
(using graphic converter) I add the appropiate ICC to the image. Open it
again in preview and it looks much better, the colours are better
saturated, so this image is what I think of as the "correct one". Using
"/Library/ColorSync/Scripts/Match to chosen profiles" I then match it
from the "Minolta 7 DiMAGE" ICC to the "Generic RGB Profile" ICC.
Opening the resulting image again in preview results in a massively over
saturated picture, particularly for the blue colours.

What I would of expected is an image that looks pretty much the same as
the original with ICC that is opened using preview. What am I doing, or
expecting, wrong? How can I convert the image so that it will "open
correctly" without an embedded ICC?

Thanks in advance for any assistance,
Paul
