We are currently seeking an experienced photographer to add to our
team. Our work involves the reproduction (digital and analog) of
library materials and collections. We work with a very wide range of
original material including: letters, books, etchings, illustrations,
paintings, photographs, maps, some 3D, and more. In some cases we aim
for exacting reproduction. In other cases a large collection must be
processed in as automated a fashion as possible. We're looking for a
candidate that embraces the core mission of our department which is to
provide a wide range of imaging services to the library community in
support of initiatives to create digital collections of permanent
research value. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive
traditional photographic background in addition to well developed
digital image capture and processing skills (including color
management). This is NOT an entry level position. Applicants should
have a minimum of 2 years experience creating, editing, and processing,
high quality digital images in a professional production environment.
