Andy, I use a Matrox Parhelia, their flagship card. It IS a true DualHead
card. I use to use the Matrox G450Max which was a single head with dual
outputs.
In the past, Matrox told ME that you cold profile both monitors (the card
supports two luts, I think) But it was the calibration software that was an
issue. Right now, I use Optical on the PC. I got BasICColor but could not
get the cable to work. ProfilerPro...well those jumping arrows just bothered
me TOO much!
If you say what to test, I can test it. My displays are two Sony GDM-FW900s
(16:10 aspect); the primary one running at 2048x1280 and the other at
1280x800.
Gretag has a tool that lets you draw the tool into one display and choose a
profile and it assigns that profile to that display. I did try that before
but was not sure of what was really happening.
The one thing that I AM sure of it that every package that I have every
tried loads it's 'calibration loader' at startup (you should only have one)
and updates the LUT of the calibrated monitor. Well, how would the second
lut gets loaded?
