Are the Ultrachromes inks, in general (irregardless of black generation
strategy), known to be less susceptible to illuminant metamerism than the
older Epson dye inks (the 1280 series on Epson glossy paper turning green
when viewed under a windows skylight)? Sorry to hash that question again...
I did not have the chance to fully observe the appearance of the Enhanced
Matte print we made of the PDI image under a variety of lighting conditions.
We used a pseudo 5000K fluorescent tube made by GE, which measured a decent
4670K, and a Solux 4700K lamp. I didn't think the print looked too great
under the Solux lighting (maybe the particular lamp I had was way over its
rated 4700K spec) but under the GE lamp it looked quite acceptable, a little
on the warm side. But nothing blatant fluorescing all of a sudden.
