(Late response - this one was bounced by the server for sending from a
different e-mail address.)
One thought: Is it possible and practical to buy the just the target from
ColorEyes and use it with the GM ProfileMaker Pro?
I would not think the ColorEyes target would be supported in ProfileMaker. I
found that using ColorEyes reduced our editing time significantly and quickly
paid for itself.
Gretag told me via e-mail that their software supports any target that has a
standard text reference file.
I came up with a neat trick for digital cameras when setting up the lights
for
even target illumination:
You will never get 2 strobes to have the exact same color temperature, you
must light with 1 light. The ColorEyes manual explains this nicely.
I guess there are differences in philosophy regarding the color temperature
issue, or I'm missing something. If there is a big effect on the profile from
the difference in strobe color temperature, is a profile made from
illumination with a single strobe more useful than a profile made from an exposure
averaging 2, 3, or 4 strobes, if that's what you typically use?
