You will never get 2 strobes to have the exact same color temperature,

Thanks Stretch,
I haven't thought about that the profiling software might get confused by the
dual strobes. I used the setup since that is the real life I like to profile
for.
Actually, I have done more planning than that. While profiling a camera, there
are really three separate issues:
1. Ideal color temperature of a black body source
2. Deviation in lighting from that ideal source.
3. Errors in the camera-software
Typically all three gets lumped together for a profile which is then good for
that exact setup.
By creating an ideal black-body light source and lighting condition, I will
create a profile that will then only be the errors of the camera since I can
mathematically predict the performance at an other true color temperatures.
That then will be my default profile and by adjusting for best color
temperature, I will get rid of the camera errors and it will be white balanced
to the Correlated Color Temperature. There will still be residual errors in the
lighting since the Correlated Color Temperature is not necessarily the same as
the pure Color Temperature.
All that is on my to-do list which is way too long already.
