This is the point at which I stopped reading Chris's post.
It's beginning to be abundantly clear how Apple feels about its
responsibility in this area. Stuff doesn't work right, and you want to
blame the messenger.
I can't tell if you're being theatrical because you're trying to paint
all of ColorSync with this scary scary notion that it's thoroughly
incomprehensible so that people will buy your book explaining it all,
or if you just need to lay off the coffee.
John, I'd love this crap to be so easy that I'd be put out of business.
I do not want to be doing color management for the rest of my life, or
anything close to it. Your spin on my position does not hold water. I
deal with average Joe User every single day. I have regular, in-depth
conversations with colleagues who also work with average Joe User every
single day. Can you or anyone else on the ColorSync development team
make such a claim?
Either way it's obvious "diplomatic" is not in your vocabulary and is
the opposite of your intent.
I think the user interface in the ColorSync Utility sucks ass. You're
welcome to quote me on whichever version you really think is more
diplomatic.
