Thanks for all the suggestions, they are right in line with what I've been
doing, so it looks like I am on the right track.
When I did switch to spectral data, my dtp41 slowed down to about half the
transfer speed. I suppose this could be a port issue, since not everyone
else has noticed it, but I'm definitely in the 2x slower range that David
estimated.
I haven't yet timed the Spectrolino.
