Hi Carl-
There might be some confusion with regard to WHICH Lanovia model you
have.
It sounds like it is a C550 with C-Scan software? If it is then you
will be able to juggle the Range Targets. If it is a newer model and
is driven by ColourKit then you cannot access those settings before the
image is scanned. If it is a C-Scan model you should use something
like 2% white and 99% black, in lowest and highest channels
respectively with NO cast adjustment. This will need some
experimenting to get it right. You'll need to get about 245-ish in the
white and about 10 in the black when viewed in PS. Main thing is no
large 255 or 000 areas. Let the scanner do it's ranging. If it is
C-Scan you may want to consider an upgrade to Sprint and ColourKit V3
on OsX.
