I would not know what to suggest specifically to address your particular
scanning problem as far as reading material is concerned? There's always
Real Word Scanning by David Blatner who will teach you 'general' things
about scanning. It won't waste your time. But it won't help you much with
your 9000. There are probably newsgroups dedicated to scanning or operating
Nikon scanners in particular where you could post specific questions.
This being said, you're not the first person who's posted on this list
looking for help operating a Nikon 9000 scanner in recent times? It's either
that you still need to pick up some steam on the general ideas behind
scanning in general or that Nikon has not make this scanner very easy to
operate.
