I have been running a Epson 10600 for over a year now with BestColor Proof
4.6.3 and 5.01 Everyone here is correct 720x720 is a must plus you have to
use the feed adjustment in Best to compensate. Basically you print the
lineal.ps file, measure it and write down what the actual measurement was,
this is what you punch into Best. On certain images though, 1440x720 I have
to use, no way around it. My advice, upgrade to at least 4.6.3 or preferable
go to 5.0 or wait for there new rip coming out shortly. Looks very nice. I
am a huge best fan. BTW if anyone is interested I have an extra copy of
BestPhoto Exposure XXL 5.01 premium I am trying to sell. If interested email
me off the list.

Guys, a few facts for you.
1. Earlier versions of Best did not compensate for paper feed travel, this
means that the paper may be feeding more or less than it should depending on
the paper thickness etc. this results in black or white banding depending on
the stock. The Epson guy was right when he told you this. All RIPs do this
now, it wasn't so vital on the 9000 series because the bands were much
thinner, you'll se that if you print at 1440dpi.
2. Epson 10000 will always band at 360dpi, 720 dpi is you minimum.
3. Check your head quality (you need to get into the service menu to do this
proprly or get the Epson tech to do a 'check nozzle', N.B. this is not the
same as the normal nozzle check & if there are even small imperfections in
the
thicker lines on this print, the head is not up to scratch & needs
maintenance
or replacing).
Let me know if you neeed more specifics.
