I appreciate your input on the Epson's and Roland's and obviously
you've had your share of trouble with the Epson's.
The Roland is a well built machine and when the FJ400 first came out
the Epson's could not produce a good print and the Roland prints looked
beautiful.
But...
...there is absolutely no excuse for the way management has treated us
a s customers.
Authorized but untrained technician screwed up our Roland. Management
said that they would take responsibility and we used another authorized
technician that they instructed and said they would pay. When the
repairs did not fix the machine they stuck us with the repair bill they
had assured us that they would take care of and instructed all their
technicians not to do anything more for us, would not take our phone
calls or emails and then sent a letter to us from their lawyer that
said they would take us to court if we called tech support again....
No ugly or disparaging remarks have passed from our lips and even if it
had, Roland management is wrong in taking such an attitude. We have a
Roland printer, that for all it's well made capabilities have not
produced a usable print in 8 months.
Meanwhile we tested an Epson and it made an even better print right out
of the box, but I am suspicious of its construction and durability.

If it were not for Roland we would all still be playing with HP's.
