All inkjets suffer banding to one degree or another. Sometimes the degree of banding depends on adjustments in the machine, such as paper advance micro settings.

Dear Graeme

I too was of that opinion until we got our Canon W2200 and I can honestly say that we have never detected (loupe) any sign of banding, nor have we ever had to do any nozzle clean in nine months of ownership.

This machine replaced an Epson 500 Pro which was forever giving banding problems and drinking ink. I for one am delighted that there is an alternative to Epson! Just looking forward to the introduction of pigment inks too.

Cheers

Richard
