to get the best results in regards to CM workflow I either have

I still can't come up with a good workflow solution.
I love the concept of using a rip, for maximum control over

Any suggestions out there what I may look at. I really need
Photoshop's BPC to get the best looking prints.
Steven:
if you are in love with the RIP, don't give it up.
Instead, use other tool to do the color conversion *with* BPC.
My advice is to use the utilities provided by Marti Maria's
"littlecms" CMM (jpegicc and tifficc), that you can download
from his web, at
http://www.littlecms.com
If you've been for four years with BestColor, then you are a
Windows user. Download directly the Win binaries from
http://www.littlecms.com/newutils.htm
and give them a try. You'll be surprised how incredibly close
to PS are the results you obtain!
Given that they are command line utilities, you can also
create a log file with all the conversions you have done, with
all the settings you applied. Isn't that nice ;-) ?
Hope this helps,
Ignacio
