Funny thing about the Abstract Profiles is that IQueue allows you to have a
custom Gradation Curve for Vector and Bitmaps, separately. Maybe the
Abstract box is more for balancing out the window <grin>
At least I DID get a chance to use my IQueue Named Color Profiles with
Ergosoft's PosterPrint. But with most Rips, Spot Color Tables have caught on
so NCP's will probably die out also.

Works better on a PC fore sure, but little quirkiness with some Postscript
files. But hey it's only v1.1x so I don't expect the world.

However, Does anyone REALLY know WHAT and how to use an Abstract Profile?

Abstract ICC profiles are like color correction filters. They are designed
to make color adjustments for (usually) insanely large number of images that
you wouldn't want to do in Photoshop manually or with an Photoshop action,
i.e. large collections. Problem is, who makes Abstract ICC profiles? Dust
off that ADB ColorBlind Edit dongle and grab the iMate adapter! Seriously,
Gretag ProfileEditor v5 doesn't create Abstract ICC profiles but they do
support them in iQue v1.x Cart before the horse? Bizarre.
On a positive note ColorPicker v5 (and v4) allow Named Color ICC profiles to
be created but the current iQue version doesn't support them. Oh well, cruel
joke on us.

Then you may want to forgo the embedding of the output profile.
Won't make any difference if the output profile (output intent) is embedded
in the PDF or not.

Other than having DEMO all over the page, what was the snag(s)?

Quirky handling of some Postscript workflows, depends on the RIP or app.
