Not true, it's not being canceled. Who told you this (you can email me
off
list if you like).
The GM sales person who told me this attended a GM sales
& technical support training seminar two weeks ago.
(this was for a range of products, not just iQueue)
He went into the seminar with my questions,
and came back telling me that technical GM people told him that
"development has ceased" on iQueue.
Notice he didn't say it was being withdrawn,
nor did he say that it would no longer be supported.
(I can't recall the person's name at the moment,
I can get it to you tomorrow)

IQueue 140 v1.15 for the PC is my Holly Grail. It can do and does do
all
that you mentioned/requested.
Have you actually used it with muti-page pdfs?
(think one pdf, 400 pages)
Even if they stopped future development (which
I KNOW they won't),
See above.
Sometimes vague opinions develop the appearance
of corporate statements as the info is passed along.
I will speak with the GM person and ask again.
that product is THERE. It doesn't support v4 profiles
but other than that; I have NO complaints.
This is good to hear, but again a product
that is not moving forward can soon become incompatible
with preferred tools and platforms as they develop.

Then you may want to forgo the embedding of the output profile.
Won't make any difference if the output profile (output intent) is
embedded
in the PDF or not.
It's true. No (intended) effect on the RIP.
But it would just be nice for those hopefully infrequent occasions
in mid-process when someone needs to opens the pdf after the matching
to check something. If the profile is imbedded,
the view in Acrobat is likely to be more predictive
of what they're about to get from the printer.
But this would be an added feature, not a deal-breaker.
Early testing of iQueue 140 in demo mode
has hit some snags<
Other than having DEMO all over the page, what was the snag(s)?
I hope to have a more specific report tomorrow.
So, is iQueue the only horse in town?
