IQueue replacement

good day--- -- - - -

I learned today from a GreytagMacbeth local sales
& support person that "development has ceased"
on the iQueue product.

Can anyone here suggest a replacement?

The capabilities I am particularly in need of are:

Able to take multi-page pdfs as input (books),
dropped on a hot folder or desktop printer or similar technique.
(I do NOT want to manually open each pdf in Acrobat
in order to commence processing).

Able to match from the embedded profile(s) in the pdf
to a specified output device profile.
Able to allow me to specify profiles to assume
if there are no profiles embedded in the pdf.

Prefer matched pdf as output,
with the output device profile embedded would be nice,
but we may be able live with PostScript output.

(The matched file will then go to a RIP
that has NO matching or profile recognition capacity.)

Prefer OS X, could live with Windows XP if I have to.

Early testing of iQueue 140 in demo mode
has hit some snags, I am still expecting a call back
from my GretagMacbeth person to confirm or deny
that it can actually do the above.

But even if it can, I would realy prefer a living product,
to something already being orphaned by continuing
platform and product evolution.

How are others addressing this type of processing need?
