Ooops. I was under the impression that Quark was able to generate the PDF
without needing FIRST to generate a PostScript file, before turning it out
to Jaws PDF Creator?
But I am not sure whether that approach in inferior to exporting straight to
PDF as in Adobe's applications through a 'boiled-down' version of Distiller,
in the form of Adobe common PDF library?
At times, I find ID's Exported PDF 'flaky' and only Distiller can give me
the assurance that everything is 100% kosher. Other times, I am so happy of
just being able to generate the PDF directly without the pain of resorting
to Distiller. I guess, I am not intimate enough with the inner
representation of PDF objects. Maybe my conception of PDF is way too limited
and I need to better understand the mapping between ID objects and PDF
objects.

Your point is very well taken, Peter.
Have you had experience with distilling ID transparency?
