Technically they are different methods. QuarkXPress actually produces
PostScript, then hands it off to Jaws to build a PDF in the background.
It's seamless and works fine but you do get only PDF 1.3, and no
tagging possible.
InDesign produces PDF directly. It can produce PDF 1.4, including
transparency (to be flattened/composited later), and can also tag
objects with unique ICC profiles.
