Here's some documentation from MacNewFeatures.pdf

Enabling Sharing Mode for All Users (OS X Only)

It may be desirable for users to be able to share calibrations and color profiles with others using the same equipment under OS X. When this feature is enabled, calibrations and profiles are stored in the file system with the application, sorted by CRS monitor serial number. When sharing is enabled, users may move from computer system to computer system and use the latest calibrations for each. It should be noted that only target colorspaces that are global (located with the application in the Colorspaces subdirectory) are visible to users.

When sharing is not enabled, calibrations and color profiles are stored in the user's account sorted by CRS monitor serial number. Assuming that the user's account is networked, the user may move from computer system to computer system, using personal calibrations specific to each. Target colorspaces visible to the user will include global colorspaces (located with the application in the Colorspaces subdirectory) as well as personal colorspaces (located in the user's account in ./Library/Preferences/Sony CRS/Colorspaces).

By default, sharing is disabled when the application is installed. This option may be changed for all users by editing the sysPrefs file, which is located in the same directory where the application is installed. To change settings:

To enable Sharing: Enable_Sharing = "yes"
To disable Sharing: Enable_Sharing = "no" (default)

1. Placement of files

The application may be located in various places to serve different user populations. The OS X default is to install the application in Applications/Artisan to serve all users of a given OS X system.

The Colorspaces subdirectory is created with read/write/execute permission for the owner and read/execute for everyone. If sharing is enabled, users will not be able to create or alter global colorspaces unless permissions are changed to read/write/execute for everyone (chmod 777 <application location>/Colorspaces ).

If sharing is not enabled, user-created colorspaces will be written in the user's account in ./Library/Preferences/Sony CRS/Colorspaces.

2. Calibration Data and Color Profiles

When sharing is enabled, the application will create subdirectories to contain calibration data files, color profiles, etc. These directories will be created in a subdirectory corresponding to the monitor serial number with read/write/execute permissions for everyone. These files will be created in <application location>/Colorspaces/<monitor serial number> on the system's hard-drive.

If sharing is not enabled, calibration data, color profiles, etc. will be written in the user's account in ./Library/Preferences/Sony CRS/Colorspaces/<monitor serial number> with full permissions for the owner.
