My first question is why is the print space defined as the monitor
profile?
Try converting to the printer profile(i.e., epson 2200 photo glossy,
etc.).
You an do this in the Print Preview dialog box. Then go to "Print".
Also, Have you taken a look at "Proof Setup". This will Preview your
image with any
variety of profiles for the Print Space. It doesn't change the pixel
info. It just gives you
an idea of how the chosen profile for "Print Space" will convert from
the "Working Space".
For a real kick, click on the 'preserve color numbers' box. This is a
quick way to preview
the image with the "Working Space profile". This is what will happen
the first time you go to
"Print Preview" and don't specify a printer space(It will default to
"Same as Source. The source
being the "Working Space".).
The digital dog(Andrew Rodney) has some great PDF's at digitaldog.com
that explain the color workflow
for Photoshop. Hope it helps.
