Maybe you're converting to a profile on which BPC has no effect?
That's odd. I'm trying to replicate an editing session I'm conducting in in
paralle in GMB ProfileEditor, editing an Output profile from Lab to CMYK,
RelCol, a profile I created with ProfileMakerPro from TR001 data.
I swear I always select the same starting Lab color -- L58 a69 b0.
A) If I check Use BPC in the ConversionOptions, in the ConvertToProfile
dialog I get L9 a11 b-1 when I check BPC and L23 a20 b0 when I uncheck it.
B) If I Uncheck Use BPC in the ConversionOptions, in the ConvertToProfile
dialog I get L19 a5 b0 when I check BPC and L29 a16 b0 when I uncheck it.
Really weird. I'll probably discover the reason at 3:00 am in the morning
why this is so but right now, I have to throw the towel and hit for the
coffee machine. I need a good dose of stimulant. Profile editing in PE is
kind of soporific.
