No, I simply meant that I believe the chips in the cartridges identify
batches of ink and appear to compensate for variability in the ink. I
believe that is why the 2200 is so consistent in color, with no
linearization process.

The profiles I make via GM are no worse than Epson's canned profiles, they
just aren't better.
