Everything's working now. Thanks for the tips and tricks!
Colosrhop X is recognizing the Digital Swatchbook, but it shows up as a
DTP-22. Sometimes it takes a few attempts before it is recognized,
however.
Everything just started to click, and not absolutely sure why.
I make the device connection as
DTP22
serial port USA28X181P2.2 , on port 2 of the keyspan (seems to work
better, I know it seems like voodoo)
9600 baud
8 bit
no parity
1 stop bit
"no" on CTS checkbox
it then connects with message "X-Rite DTP22 s5B15-H ready"
and off we go
I did turn off the belkinUSB extensions in OS9, not sure that it would
affect this situation.
I'm running Profilemaker while booted into OS9. I finally installed
spectrochart lite onto a PC, (my dongle is Mac only, spoiling the PC
approach) and connected the spectroscan to that. It connected
instantly (arrrrrg) and I was able to scan a chart successfully. Once
it had done that, I retried with the mac and it worked. Almost as if
it needed to just work once, to get cleared out or something.
Connecting via the Keyspan, still physically on port 2, but selecting
"#2USA28X01" as my serial port.
Anyhow, I will surely have some profile questions to come, but will
post that separately.
Thanks again!
Randy N
