I have always found that as long I kept input resolution an integer of
the printer dpi I got faster transfer and better sharpness from the
Epson printers. Everyone needs to test to see what pleases their eye. I
find most people are happy at 288 or 360 ppi. Other resolutions force
interpolation somewhere in the pipeline where pixels have to be
invented. If the sizing is 3 pixels to 1 or 4 pixels to 1 it goes much
faster and sharper. As always your actual milage may vary.
