There are several new ISO test methods for all aspects of digital
photography in preparation or already accepted. Noise targets and
objective (software) measurements of that noise for example. A
good site to start is:

Some google searches on Dietmar Wueller will add to that.
Most in German however.
It will be difficult however to give separate MTF numbers for
lenses on digital systems. It looks like complete systems have to
be measured to get a good representation of the total quality.
That's at least what I have seen done by the German magazine
Color Foto. The same Sigma lens on the high end Canon and Kodak
cameras.
