Yes Roger, some printers are foolish. Hmmm... imagine that.
My guess is that the printer who buys into CTP either likes the results
that come from their new system out of the box (because they are printing
with less dot gain and they are not trying to match anything like another
press or have a relation to a pre-press proof) or they don9t think they can
afford to have a quality analysis cycle set up before declaring their ctp
installation operational? In either case IMHO, that is more than foolish!
