What is difference is between press finger printing and press profiling?
Or isn't there a difference?

This is not meant to be a trick question either.

Correct me if I am wrong but I think they are the same thing. If I am not
mistaken, PerfectProof introduced what they call their Desktop 'fingerprint'
in the ProofMaster Rip. Which is basically a devicelink from your Reference
profile (press) to your proofer profile (paper).

That is not to say 'fingerprint' means a devicelink; that is just what
ProofMaster does with it. But in the context of the ProofMaster rip was the
first time I was introduced to the term.
