Fingerprinting v Profiling (was Profile to standards or press?)

  • Subject: Fingerprinting v Profiling (was Profile to standards or press?)

It is my understanding that there is a difference between press finger
printing and press profiling.

I make this point because I have been corrected by colleagues who do both.

I have a reasonable idea what some of the difference are between finger
printing and profiling, but I wanted to ask to see what others might have
for a definition.

The questions are:

What is difference is between press finger printing and press profiling?
Or isn't there a difference?

This is not meant to be a trick question either.

Jim Rich
