I recently provided photography to a client whose material is appearing
in print. The designer contracted to do the job called and asked if I
would drop by and proof the images on screen which on the surface seems
like a waste of time.
Is it not true that viewing images on screen provides little ultimate
guarantee as to how the images will print either in tone or how they
will render in sharpness?
Is this as simple as 'call me when you have the hard proofs?....or does
this response come across as pedantic or elitist?
Best,
