If you do a screen grab (command-shift-4) of a picture, it won't be in
sRGB space, it will be in your monitor's color space, and should have
that profile embedded. When you open the file in Photoshop, you'll need
to convert to sRGB, if that's the color-space you want it in.
This is different than if you just drag an image from Safari to your
desktop. In this case, the image will be copied with its native profile
(if it has one embedded) which is almost always sRGB, and if it doesn't
have an embedded profile, you can usually safely assign sRGB as its
color-space.
In the Photoshop color preferences, select "preserve embedded profiles"
(for RGB, at least), and check all three of the "Ask when..." boxes.
This will keep your colors straight.
