<So, Mike, Epson clearly has the 'sharpest' dot of the two systems?>

That's my opinion, yes, although I can't say if newer HP printers have
improved in this aspect or not.

<And that, in your opinion, and probably in the opinion of many readers

'inconstancy' effect? >

I can't say that I notice an "inconsistency" at all under controlled
lighting, which is where all our proofs should viewed anyway. The
bronzing issue is not really a big deal and is only noticeable viewing
at awkward angles. I guess I would recommend to anyone interested in
either HP or Epson printers to view some print samples and judge for
themselves...better would be if you could get a dot proof sample as well
as a continuous tone proof.

So, Mike, Epson clearly has the 'sharpest' dot of the two systems? And
that, in your opinion, and probably in the opinion of many readers on
this list and elsewhere too, more than offsets the Ultrachrome ink
'inconstancy' effect?
