The Epson still prints a fine dot suitable for dot simulations, yet for true dot contract proofing a Creo CTP with the Spectrum option for a Trendsetter is hard reality. I haven’t tried a 1bit tiff rip on a recent HP so I can’t say if it is accurate enough. It’s not only dot size but also dot placement that will make one technology better than the other.
