It's sad that no one really uses this technology,
even Apple doesn't. (Take a look at the dates when
Ben Singer found that out)
I think I've mentioned before here, that I'm boggled that
10 or more LUT entry access isn't standard on every
video card and operating system. I was involved with
designing video cards over ten years ago with RAMDACs
that had > 8 bit entry sizes. I would have thought that
there wasn't a RAMDAC manufactured now that wasn't 10 bit
or better (but I could be wrong).
