The latest version I use to build press profiles from has a unique Correct
Measurement Data feature which I have not seen in any other profiling
package to date. It does wonders on targets that have suffered uneven
inking, you know, because of density variation across the sheet.>
There's a discussion ongoing in another forum regarding the PerfX color management package that claims to do something similar...using artificial intelligence.."neural networks, fuzzy logic and genetic algorithms" for "correcting for local disturbancies in some specific color patches that may have been affected by substrate spot imperfections or other incidents”.
Their website is pertty vague on this. There's a PDF on their website that might go into a little more detail, but it's in French...right up your alley Roger.
