Anyone know if most LCD displays are vertically polarized ?

I find different models of Apple LCDs to have different polarization angles...

(The LCD instrument displays in my car are at 45 degrees).

One is likely to be wearing polarized sunglasses in a car, and 45 degrees might be the best compromise angle... sunglasses are not assumed when using computer displays, however. The design of the ColorVision Spyder2 includes a diffuser that offers very constant results with varying polarization angles, other devices use different methods.
