Well you can create a decent ICC profile of a video camera using the
venerable 24 patch ColorChecker. Can't really profile a video monitor but
you can create monitor profile with the same target white point and gamma.
Similar principles of white/gray balance and exposure techniques used in
profiling still cameras.

Quicktime allows you to use a ColorSync *filter* to apply ICC profiles.

Well you can convert your images to sRGB which uses HDTV primaries and the
same white point and gamma as typical HD monitors. Or you can also use the
SMPTE-C ICC profile which is more realistic of SDTV video monitor sold in
the last two decades.
