OK. Sounds like a typical setup.

Firey is a color renegade.

I've noticed that often that 400% toner on CLC always results on toner
cjipping away from the sheet. I end up cleaning it and coloring the
corresponding patches with a felt pen otherwise it will mess up my
instruments.

Well, you're going to have to ask Fiery directly at $250 US a tech call a
pop, I'd think about it twice. If, instead, you speak with Canon tech
support which should have an OEM tech support agreement with Fiery it should
cost you nothing. But, would Canon know / care to help you?

Yes. That's why when I have the choice I always recommend my clients Cyclone
RIPs and not Fierys...
> Any ideas how to control the CMYK maximum ink ?
Not here. Let me know if you find it. Lot's of good people have reported to
this list over the past what they know about Fiery. I suggest you search the
archives and start from there. But the information is pretty scarce. FWIW,
my clients all do their conversions on their workstations treating the
printer as "dumb". As long as it does not deviate too much, I don't care.
