That is way too low for the yellow density on a Creo. It should be around
0.85 for the normal GT material, which is what Creo specified when this
proofer was SWOP-certified. I see that it is no longer listed on the SWOP
website, so...
It's a full-ablation type printer, which means that 100% of the donor is
transferred to the receiver (unlike the Kodak approval, for example), so you
are totally at the mercy of the inherent density of the material as it is
manufactured. Even so, I would suspect that something is not quite right
with the proofer, and it needs an adjustement. I would expect at minimum
0.80 if not more.
