The following is a response I'm forwarding on behalf of one of our Applications Specialists
familiar with the Spectrum.

"Although the particular media vendor is not mentioned, a measured density of .70 on Yellow does seem on the low side. You could point your finger at the device or the media, but most likely the measuring device is not setup to measure the density according to the media specification. The current instrumentation setup for Spectrum should be a non-UV Spectrophotometer, Status T filter, absolute not relative, measured against a black background. It should also be measured on the proper setup stock for your particular media. If the device and instrumentation is setup correctly you should see a higher Yellow density, how much higher will again vary quite a bit depending on the media manufacturer and instrument model used. Contact the media vendor for specific values. My guess is that the device you are using to create the profiles is not setup these specifications. Keep in mind that current Spectrum media density is fixed and does not necessarily directly correspond to the exact density required on press. You need to verify this density value, if needed contact your media vendor or Creo service to ensure you are operating within media and/or device specifications."

Harold,
Thanks for the note.
However, I am quite sure we are measuring the density properly. We are verifying this by measuring different media and using a spectrophotometer. For example the Chroma of the Yellow is around 70. I would like to see at least a 90. And in PM5 the density from profiles reads .70. And the profiles we are creating reflect a low Yellow density.
As for the media we are contacting KPG.
