Do you know whether the profiles use to translate the color values
were matrix/shaper or CLUT (Color LookUp Table) based profiles ?
Often CLUT based profiles more accurately reflect the behavior of
a device, but can have rather "bumpy" behavior, depending on
the resolution of the CLUT, the behavior of the device, and
how clever the profiling package is in creating per-channel
curves to complement the CLUT.
Matrix/shaper based profiles on the other hand, can be rather
inaccurate in reflecting the device behavior (if it its not
close to additive), but are almost always very smooth (unless
very coarse shaper curves are used).
